Delta Arts Center and Blues Kids Foundation in collaboration The Arts Based School, our newest Great State of North Carolina partner, welcome Fernando Jones’ 6th Annual Blues Camp here in Winston-Salem. Blues Camp will be hosted onsite at The Arts Based School on Thursday, June 11th and Friday, June 12th, 2026.This internationally recognized program. Criteria

Ages: 12 to 18.

Skill Levels: Beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Instrumentation: Voices and all other instruments.

Cost: Free. Simply audition your child today at www.BluesKids.com/EarlyBird online.

Student musicians will be placed into ensembles based on their age skill level.

Blues Camp fills up fast, so, don’t delay your audition.

In 1989, Fernando Jones founded Blues Kids of America in Chicago. Blues Kids Foundation of which has presented Blues Camps in Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and on college campuses and in performing arts centers throughout America, was established in 2009.

Our mission is to preserve, perform and promote the Blues among America's youth, parents and educators — establishing free Blues Camps and professional development workshops across the world. We focus on Social & Emotional Learning, Literacy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and Music as a Second Language.

We are not looking for the best "Blues Kid" players in the world. We are looking for the Blues Kid who wants to be in this program. However, they must audition with one of the songs below, first, not one of their choosing. Then we will do our best to place them by their skillset according to our Blues Camp ensemble instrumentation need(s) and position availability. Here are the Kennedy Center ArtsEdge Standards we use.
